[How do I make sure my work is visible?](https://www.theengineeringmanager.com/qa/how-do-i-make-sure-my-work-is-visible/) by [[James Stanier]]. Stanier talks about creating brag documents, an idea he got from [[Julia Evans]] ([Get your work recognized: write a brag document](https://jvns.ca/blog/brag-documents/)). The general idea is to create a weekly brag document where you capture important notes and links throughout the week, then organize into themes along the way. Stanier's finalized brag documents usually consist of a big item or milestone, list of projects and notes, useful ideas and links, and miscellanea. Stanier writes it for himself ([[Writing is a form of thinking]]), but also writes it so that anyone else could read it. He first shared it with his manager to keep them in the loop, and later started sharing it with others. It's become an internal company newsletter that anyone can subscribe to.
