Pattern inventory
A pattern inventory analyzes all the design elements used across your product’s user interfaces to identify patterns and inconsistencies. It is often the first step to creating a Component library or larger Design system.
Steps:
- Capture all screens
- Create an inventory of all design elements
- Group elements into patterns
- Describe patterns and note inconsistencies
- Prepare findings and insights
- Present findings with primary stakeholder(s)
