Using hyphens, dashes, and em dashes

Use hyphens (-) for joining two or more words to make a compound word.

Use en dashes (–) for ranges in numbers and dates, like Monday–Thursday or 1–10.

Use em dashes (—) for replacing punctuation—such as commas and parentheses.

There are NO spaces around hyphens or dashes.
